Stress has the power to crush you even if you follow all the rules that are eating diet, nutrients and exercise.
For a prolonged period of time stress can result in different health problems like cancer, Alzheimer, fatigue, bacterial and viral infection, inflammatory illness, blood sugar problems, weight gain and many other health problems.
Since stress is normal to human beings, therefore the best way to deal with it is to adapt and cope with it.
Human body has the best coping mechanism through the special stress hormone released by the adrenal gland in relation to the nervous system.
In order to understand the meaning of stress let’s see the three category of stress which include the following;
1. Physical stress
physical stress problems or stress raised in the mechanical body. It comes as a result of extreme work in your muscles. Some can promote better health but too much of them can result in serious health problems.
Wearing something that does not fit you like shoes is an example of an event that can cause physical stress, dental problems, poor posture is another problem which can cause physical stress.
2. Chemical stress
chemical stress results from any source either dietary or nutritional imbalances that are too high or too low.
Excesses of caffeine or drugs, ingestion of chemicals from foods and water supplies. Chemical stress can lead to physical and mental health.
3. Mental and emotional stress
Emotional stress is the kind of stress which is very common to most people. This involves tension, depression and anxiety.
Mental stress can be caused by many factors which includes;
a) Family
b) Jobs
c) Emotion
d) Infection
e) Allergic reaction
f) Physical trauma
g) Weather condition and
h) Exertion
Mental stress can result to various problems including;
It affects cognition including perception, sensation, learning, concept, information and decision making.
How to Deal with Stress
Before dealing with any problems the first thing is to make sure you know the problems that are first vaccines.
When it comes to dealing with stress make sure you figure it out whether physical, chemical or mental stress.
Once you figure it out, write the list in both categories and start to deal with the difficult one once you handle it the others will be easy to overcome.
The best strategy here is to deal with stress which you can handle like changing the diet system, exercising, avoiding drugs and so on.
Apart from making the list of the stress the following are the strategies of dealing with stress.
i) Learn to say “NO”. when some told you to do something you really don’t want to do. Ask yourself if it really matters.
ii) Stop worrying about the past or future, live the present. Just remember this wise word from master () “yesterday is the history, tomorrow is the mystery, today is the gift that is why it is called the present.
put the past behind you, the mad thing happens and you can’t do anything about it.
iii) Learn and perform relaxation techniques regularly. The most powerful one is respiratory biofeedback. Also walking can be the best way to relax and get rid of stress.
iv) Find someone you trust and tell him or her all of your problems. This is one of the best ways for releasing stress.
v) Live a simple life.
vi) Do the most important things according to your schedules but don’t forget to enjoy. Find some fun things and enjoy them to the fullest.
vii) Know your passion and go work for it.
Finally, once you learn how to control stress, you can improve the quality of your life, reduce the risk of dysfunction and improve the working performance of adrenal glands.
